'Vision' Cited as #1 Executive Leadership Trait
Executive Recruiter News reports that, while 'vision' is a vital skill for global business executives, the results of a recent survey suggest it is rare in corporate leadership. Of the executives polled by Columbia Business School, 62% cite 'vision' as one of the three most important skills necessary for global business leaders, followed by 'multi/cross-cultural skills' at 31%, and 'communications skills' at 25%. According to Ethan Hanabury, Associate Dean for Executive Education, "The organizations that can define and institutionalize a clear vision cannot only gain competitive advantage but win the loyalty of their employees as well."
